Frequently asked

Where is my data stored?
On your device. Workouts, sets, weights, personal records, and notes are saved locally and are never uploaded to an Iron Will account — because there is no account.

How do I export my data?
Open Settings → Export Data (JSON). The app saves a JSON file with every workout, routine, and custom exercise, then opens the share sheet so you can save it to Files, email it, or send it anywhere you choose.

How do I reset everything?
Open Settings → Reset All Data. This permanently deletes your workouts, routines, custom exercises, and settings from your phone and cannot be undone, so export first if you want a copy.

Do you track me?
No ads, no data selling, and no tracking across other companies' apps. The app does send a small amount of information to a few services:

Your workout history is not sent. A crash report can include a few details of what you were doing at that moment. The Privacy Policy lists exactly what each service receives.

Can I turn analytics off, or have it deleted?
There is no switch in the app for this yet. Deleting the app stops all of it. To ask us to delete what PostHog, Sentry, or RevenueCat hold, email us. Those records carry no name or email, so tell us roughly when you used the app and on which phone, and we will remove what we can find.

I lost my data after reinstalling.
Because Iron Will is local-only, deleting the app removes its on-device data. Your phone's own backup (for example iCloud Backup) is the way to carry your history to a new phone. An exported JSON file keeps a full copy too, but the app cannot load one back in yet.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Cancel through your device, not through us — we have no way to do it on your behalf. On iOS: Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Iron Will › Cancel. On Android, open the Play Store, tap your profile, then Payments & subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends or it renews once more. Your workouts stay on your phone either way — they were never anywhere else.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled entirely by Apple or Google under their own policies, and we cannot issue one. On iOS, use reportaproblem.apple.com. On Android, request it through the Play Store order history. If something in the app is broken, write to us first — we would rather fix it than have you ask for your money back.

I paid, but the app says I have not.

Open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases. That re-checks your purchase with the store and is the usual fix after a reinstall or a new phone. It only works if you are signed in with the same store account you bought with. If it still will not restore, email us with the receipt and we will sort it out.
